12 Stories

Jonathan Gibbs's online project, A Personal Anthology project has a simple but effective premise: each week, a guest editor picks 12 of their favourite stories, and writes a brief introduction to each one. It's been running since 2017, and features the selections of over 300 contributors. I'm honoured to be the latest; my dream anthology, winnowed from a long list of stories which have taken up permanent residence in my head, has been posted up on the project's substack pages, before it migrates to the website.
