This Just In
I'm pleased to announce that Pyr has bought The Quiet War for publication in the US. Hero editor Lou Anders tells me that it will probably hit the shops in September or October 2009.
I'm also pleased to announce that I'll be one of the guests of honour at NewCon 5 in Northampton, 26-27 2009, appearing with Pat Cadigan and Paul Cornell.
Gosh.

Hot dang! Can't wait!
And hopefully the short stories will come under one cover, whether real or electronic. I found the collections of stories by Stephen Baxter to be good counterparts to the eventual novels (e.g., "Phase Space" vs. the three "Manifold" novels).
Yes. Baxter isn't bothered about inconsistencies, though the multiple possible worlds cover that problem nicely. I've seen several versions of the story Sheena 5, for example, and Malenfant lives through various different histories.
Good news, but I already got my British copy.
Still, the more people that have a chance to see it the better...I'm about 120 pages and it loving it so far
