Sad... Novels by William Gibson becoming less and less interesting while merchandize production florishes...
Oh, I think it's a cool and deeply post-pomo crossover. Rather than merchandizing (which implies stamped tin lunchboxes, or free action figures at McDonald's), it's diffusion - you have to actively search it out; you have to participate.
