Cult film - and I hope that it would be cult novel!
Terry Gilliam said on press conference in Moscow last week that he didn't gave copyright to Bushes for realizing his film into reality :)
With your copyrights, Paul - no problems :)
Was Gilliam in Moscow because The Zero Theorum has been released in Russia?
A novel of the film would present interesting problems - restore the fantasy sequences Gilliam cut? Change Jill's role at the end to restore her agency?
Yes, he presented Zero Theorem :)

I first saw Brazil when it was shown on BBC2 as part of a film series on Sunday nights in the 80's. It's a paradox that we're less likely to stumble across a gem like this with so many channels now available, because now we only watch what we think we want to see. And now with on-demand TV I watch virtually nothing at all. And yet I still check the schedules every Sunday night in the hope of discovering another Brazil. But I know I never will.
Best wishes with the book, I look forward to reading it in the Autumn.
